- As a child, I was placed in special needs because I didn't talk much in school. Apparently I sometimes went the entire day without saying a word to anyone.
- I was also a late talker.
- I think I stopped properly believing in Santa Claus when I was around 15. That means I've spent a bit under half my life believing in Santa.
- I once had a staring competition with a guy who had a controversial tattoo (Black Sun) and a fashy shirt. I also won!
- I describe myself as a mix between counter-culture weirdo and tradition-respecter.
- I would say I try to have an approach to life that's ~60% giri and ~40% ninjo.
- Many ancestors on my father's side were warriors.
- The ancestors on my mother's side engaged in cannibalism until the British colonised it out of them due to the practice being "primitive" or something...
- I have a double-barelled surname. The first bit means "born after twins" or "born into the world alone" while the second bit means "annointed." I find that cool
- I "witnessed" a bank robbery when I was an infant.
- My mother had tuberculosis when she was pregnant with me. She had to take various medications to control it, and sometimes she jokes that those drugs are the reason for my personality being the way that it is now. (Maybe I'm so remarkable that dark forces attempted to eliminate me even before I was born?)
- In the spring of 2021 I had a "reality is stranger than advertised" experience. I went through something that, to me, felt like daemonic dread. That really kicked off my interest in weird shit.
- Despite being 5'10'', I was bullied nearly every day in seconday school by an unusually short girl who actually had a genuine growth disorder. She had to take pills for it. Someone even joked that if she played a Hobbit in Lord of the Rings they would need special effects to make her look taller.
- I handled three dead cats in the summer of 2022. Two were family cats that passed within six weeks of each other, and the third was one I found on the road that had been hit by a car. I took it home with me (the nearby vets were closed as it was a bank holiday) and then took it in to a slightly further away vet the following day. One thing I learned from the experience is that these bags hold in cat blood and will not let out a single drop. A woman at the reception asked me if I wanted the bag back and I obviously said no.
- I have a relative that was conceived from r@pe. That said, I'm still pretty "prefer-life."
